saw a loach, where to put it
I have 6 yoyo loaches in my 90 gal community tank, i've had them for a while so have gotten a decent size. today while I was at the lfs i saw some loaches which the owner insisted were yoyo loaches which I know weren't. They look to me to be Cherryfin Loach by looking here, they are awfully cute. th...

chain loaches in a hex tank?
i have a 30 gal hex tank that I have been using for a grow out fry tank but want to change it. Right now I do have a few Kribensis fry/babies in there, but will be rehoming them when they are large enough or maybe just keep a couple of the females if that would work. Also one bn pleco. I saw my lfs ...

thanks everyone for the advice. I don't think I'll move them yet into the 90 gal as they are still quite small. It would be harder to keep an eye on them, want to make sure they are eating enough etc. I will get a couple more once I know these are doing well. I was at another LFS today checking to s...

new to yoyo's
Got some questions regarding yoyo loaches. I picked up 3 yesterday, I put them in my 33 gal. Would that size tank be large enough for them. I could move them to my 90gal later on. Right now I feel they would do better in the tank that isn't too busy, they are quite small. Also is 3 enough, I have do...

thank you for replying. I'll put the loaches in the larger tank. i heard they aren't very good at keeping snail populations down so I gather my apple snails and naeritdae snails should be safe with them. They are more than welcome to the other snails that have invaded the tank. maybe they will keep ...

I do have a 3 foot 45 gal tank as well (its taller than the usual 45 gal), the loaches can go in that tank instead. the tank is heavily planted but it does already have a handful of bottom dwellers, some cory's, 3 smaller plecos, 3 upside cats, 2 otto's and 1 lace cat (who isn't very large yet) I ha...

i can't resist, i'm getting the khuli loaches
I'm getting 6 khuli loaches tomorrow, and i'm planning to put them in the tank with my 3 jr Keyhole cichlids, male guppies, 1 hillstream loach, 4 cory's. Also in the tank are 2 baby synodontis brichardi cats. I'm not concerned about these synodonitis cats are they are still small, super timid and li...

would adding loaches be doable
Hello, I am new to this site and I currently don't have any loaches so I thought I would find out if it would be doable before I head out to the LPS and get tempted. I have recently set up a 25 gal hex (floor space about 18 in and 24 in tall) I already have 5 pepper cories and 3 baby keyhold cichlid...
