LVKSLoachlady, please forgive us if you feel that we have ignored you after only one day. The forum has been very slow the past few weeks. Not many people are posting. Guess most are caught up in living their lives. We do welcome you to the forum and do hope that you will be a regular poster. And, I...

tank size for clowns

I have read in the forum that clowns need a 5 or 6 foot tank to grow well. I have a chance to get a 110 gallon (about 410 L) tank that is 48" x 29.5" x 18". Because of size would this be an okay tank?

Let me know what you think.

TIA,

Try: http://www.rfitropicalfish.com/

Just came from there and all the different size clowns brought up the same picture and same comment: This is a great Rainbow Bosmani fish. Buy it today for $29.99 each

They have something wrong.

Y. splendida

Mad Duff, I read your post on AquaticQuotient.com, about your getting 9 Y. splendida in May.

I have only seen them for sale on Frank's website and he wants $100 each. Do you know of someone else who has them cheaper?

TIA,

I'll take your word that it works great. :D I don't have a clue how all that stuff works. All I know is connecting a HOB or canister filter to the tank. What you and others have done with their setups is amazing. Of course, before May of 2008, I thought everyone still used under gravel filters. :oop...

Wish I could read the article. Nice to see the pictures. This is not about fish, but it is about hybrids. Zoos have been breeding animals for some time to obtain hybrids. This Internet article is about a Grizzly - Polar Bear hybrid. I just watched a TV show about it the other night. http://www.msnbc...

Thanks for keeping us up to date. I feel for you. I am 67 and if I did what you have just done, I would be down for a week. :D

Keep the picture of the 190 after you get done in you mind's eye. That's the carrot to follow.
