Marcos,

Great pics...thanx.

I was feeling very inadequate when I saw your intact plants and wondered what I was doing wrong....then I saw your second pic with the damage and felt better.....my loaches have wreaked havoc with my plants....looks like a war zone

I have 5 clowns, 4 striata and 7 kubs....the kubs are by far the most rambunctious although the striata often join them in their antics. The clowns generally hide until I turn the main light off, although a couple of the smaller ones venture out during the day to explore.

I have been just pouring into the filter output flow......maybe I should try using a baster.....

I just posted this in the freshwater forum, but I'll repeat it just in case. I am on day five of overdosing my planted aquarium. This morning my anubias nana appeared to have a slight decrease in hair algae, but it might just be wishful thinking on my part. I'll keep you updated. I'm overdosing at 3...

Your pics are excellent and your loaches look great. One of these days I'm going to have to play around with my camera and see how it works.

That's my answer for everything

I echo setting up a bare bones 10 gallon hospital tank.....inexpensive to setup and will relieve headaches in the future.

I have occasionally (and innocently) purchased demon fish....yes, they look beautiful when you see them at the LFS, but the minute you get them to your tank......they turn  Years ago, I had and African Cichlid setup. Things were going smoothly until I added a M. auretus into my happy little...

My alpha (clown) loach stays hidden a majority of the time. Moe, as in, Moe, Larry and Curly (the other two from his cohort) shows himself only during feeding time, and only for an instant. He grabs his meal and goes back to his hidey hole. Larry and Curly are out and about quite a bit even during t...

Absolutely beautiful! I'm hoping to plant my larger tanks before long. Right now I'm practicing with my 20L.

As shari stated, that will look amazing when it fills out.

Using RO/DI water is a bit of work, but if your water quality is really poor it's worth the trouble. The water quality in Phoenix is hideous...not-so-liquid rock with all kinds of nastiness in it. Even after I run it through the RO, the TDS meter reads 75 and the pH is near 8.0....(I might try Diane...

My loaches remind me a bit of my cat during the day. Short bursts of activity followed by long periods of inactivity. They perk up quite a bit in the late afternoon and evening hours and they all band together in a "super shoal" of clown, striata and angelicus loaches doing the "uppy-down dance."

I'm sorry to hear about your losses. I feel your pain; I discovered ick in one of my tanks last night (thankfully, it's not the loach tank). I am in the process of raising the temp and adding salt. It's rough to loose your fish, especially after you've reared them for so long as you have with your c...

Your tank is really looking good. I've been running plant free tanks for a couple of decades because I tend to kill plants just by being in the same room with them  About four months ago I finally tried my hand at a small planted tank (20 gallon long) with some of the hardier varieties (anachri...
