Yeah Mick they do have the red eyes, though I haven't managed to take any decient pics, I'd definatly recommend you get some, they are expensive though they were 12 pounds if i remenber correctly, worth it though in my opinion one of the most attractive loaches out there. The parameter of the tap water is a good match to the tank water kh and gh maybe a degree or two lower, ph is the same.
