Gibbiceps are more spotted aren't they? This one looks more like Glyptoperichthys joselimaianus. Though it does get around 50 cm so huge nonetheless. I just gotta say that C. Oblongus is an awesome algae eater you can have with greedy loaches. Awesome to clean algae and they're not afraid to cut in on the meal: (Look at how fat they are) http://www.zoopet.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=13947&d=1221504025 http://www.zoopet.com/forum/attachm...

Also mick:

We have very good water here in sweden, so I just pour it straight down into the tank and always have done, it's never affected any of my fishes negative. I think the majority of serious fish keepers do this in sweden. I don't even use any water preparing stuff either.

Did you run the tank with charcoal in the filter to remove the meds completely before adding the loaches? Most (maybe all) loaches are sensitive to medications and that could be bothering them...could you post your tank parameters for the experts on the site so they can better define any problem? A...

My loaches seem to be flashing

So, I read the thread about ich, since I saw some of my botias and barbs "flashing", they suddenly turn on their sides and make a burst against a mangrove or the gravel. I only see it occasionally, and not often at all. Should I higher the temperature and wait and see, or should I medicate instantly...

Thanks alot you guys, I'm flattered  Chelms: The stand as you probably saw is a normal aquarium stand in aluminum (Sp?) and I just covered with some fabrics. I'm gonna iron the fabrics, but other than that I'm really pleased with it. Alot cheaper than a special made one. At the moment I'm kind...

Re-scaped my tank today.. again! The botias seem to be wondering what's above the water surface, as they have begun jumping a bit at the bamboo sticking up above the watersurface :D Also got a picture of one of my young Almorhae, it's constantly swimming around the front glass, back and forth...

I left him to the store, the store owner was gonna try to get him to eat and he succeeded, and is now trying to medicate for internal parasites. If that makes him better I guess I'll have to medicate my tank for it, i see some skinnier fish and it's making me paranoid. What is a good medication to u...
