yeah I think I am going to get 3 corys for cleaning crew and I went with 6 zebra danio's for dither. The clowns are doing better starting to learn that I usually mean food...lol

is it true clowns will flash to get food off the bottom?

you can try soaking his food in garlic pure garlic only this usually will stimulate feeding, and it helps with parasites.

I made this the other fish still get in there but they dont stay for long, I will test the water again tonight and see if this helped




UPDATE: never mind didn’t work the bigger fish were just getting trapped in there /sigh

Tank stock : 2 - 3" Dalmatian mollies, 6 - 1" zebra danios, 1 - 2.5" clown loach, and 3 - 1.5" clown loach. Problem : feeding the 3 - 1.5" clown loaches 5 - 6 times a day is allowing the bigger fish to over eat and causing a .25ppm ammonia spike at the end of the day not to mention the damage it is...

yeah I check all that, no ich, no velvet, but my 2.5" inch had a weird mark on his head I treated the tank with a half dose of a parasite med and it and the flashing are gone.

I also read somewhere that they will flash to get food off the bottom.

will clown loaches flash even if nothing is wrong? there are no spots, there is no red gills, they are hanging out at the bottom, they are not breathing heavy. I have 4 of them and only 2 seem to do it. oh and they are doing it to the flat tumbled river stones(aquarium safe) I just added. not really...
