Hormones aren't great, but it is a step towards captive breeding which is encouraging. Anything to lessen the amount of fish taken from the wild is a plus in my eyes.

Given the opportunity, I would buy these captive bred clowns over ...

Thanks chefkeith. I've done the 1st two steps you mentioned a couple days ago. Uploading the files to You Tube is where I seem to be stuck. I'll keep working on it.

how to make a YouTube video...??

You all have been so helpful when I neded it. And you've asked for pics or videos of my tanks. Can I upload directly from my Canon PowerShot A720 to You Tube? Or can someone explain the steps of putting a video on You Tube? I tried for a while today can't seem to figure it out.

I need to go now ...

Grrr...I specifically asked the knucklehead at the fish store if the loaches posed a threat to the shrimp. He said, "Oh, no not at all." I am thankful I only spent $0.17 per shrimp...

Never AGAIN.
In the last few mo's I've had to leave my fish for a time.
10 dy trip: I set up my auto feeders (battery operated, feeds 2x's a dy).
We are experiencing an ant problem (for about 8 mo's) & I've not wanted to set off bombs/fumigate as we would have in the past, due to my finned friends ...

Sorry I forgot to post it last night, but I think I know what prompted chng in my water. 7 dy pyamid feeders Used 1 in each tank before going away for a wkend & left what seemed like the last 1/3 in the tanks after I came home & just reduced my feeding some.

chefkeith & k. wolcott...I was so saddened to see that tonight my new kub was coming out of his hidy-hole only to flash. Seems I have to treat my pets for ich. Please help me through this as I hate losing ANY fish. But I would really hate to loose my loaches.

And you are both right. My little QT was knocked over & broke (a mess that was), thankfully with no one in it at the time. However the angelica/polka dot botia seems fine...just lonely for a couple more like him. A friend/fish farmer sells to LFSs and has told me there is no need to QT if I skip the ...

Helen Nightingale...I would not take guppies & tetras over yo yo's (especially with their personality). But as you said, everyone is different.
