Hi Everyone

I am currently running a 46 gallon bow front tank that is 3 feet long I believe. I have 5 clowns, 6 albino bn plecs and 7 zebra danios.

I'm wondering how much longer I can keep my clowns in this tank before they need a larger home. 3 of the clowns are tiny but 2 are about 4" long or ...

They can't pout forever - if the water conditions are OK they will get over their attitude and start eating again. They won't be able to resist tasty bloodworms no matter how pissed they are.

Sounds like they are halfway over it anyhow if they were snoozing together.

Haha, yeah I got them last year as fry. I was hoping to breed them before getting the clowns. Now I've got clown fever!! I'm looking to get a bigger tank in the next 6 months and set it up for the clowns.

I evicted them from their ceramic log this morning as I haven't seem them at feeding time in a couple days. Well they didn't like that one bit. I turned off the lights though and they calmed down right away. They even started eating bloodworms with the three little clowns!
I had to leave for work ...

I've removed a rectangular cave my 4" clown was getting stuck in and replaced it with a larger one. My clown doesn't seem to like this and is refusing to use it and refusing to eat. He's shacking up in a ceramic log that is home to my other 4" clown. The second clown is now not coming out of his log ...

I'm now home and the 3 remaining clown loaches are all alive. 2 were pale with the third showing very bright and vibrant colours. I moved them into a 5 gallon that I've dosed with PraziPro.
I tested the water and GH,KH and PH are all the same for the tank and tap water. The readings were GH - 140 ...

I just spoke to my girlfriend and another loach died. She found it when she got home from work.

Nitrite 0
Nitrate less than 5
PH approx 7.6
Water is hard, can't remember exact figures
No salt in the tank
New water is city tap water treated with water conditioner.

I purchased five clowns about 2 and a half weeks ago. As I was doing a small water change this morning a dead clown loach floated up into one of my live plants. :cry: It looked like it was covered in cotton or something, it just looked awful. I scooped it out and finished the water change ...

Thanks for the help! I'm going to give these a try and see if they start coming out at feeding time!
