Re: OneWay's Thread
Time for a resurrection of my thread! My tank is alive and well with my loaches being silly as ever. Anyway, here is one of my loaches that likes to nap out in open in the back of the tank...looking as dead as can be :) I love how it comes running to say "Hi" to me after I tap the glass :) He was ho...

Re: OneWay's Thread
Here is a video of the cut bamboo.. i cut 2 sections off of each 4' length and have them horizontal in the tank. It took one night for the loaches to get used to them, but now they love them. When I showed a friend the raw pieces he thought i was going to stand them upright, like a bird house, and I...

Re: OneWay's Thread
Good idea on the epoxy.. I could always weigh down the bamboo with a rock to keep it submerged, but I am just excited to have some pieces to experiment with

Re: OneWay's Thread
Hello all, Long time no posting :) My tank and loaches are doing great. I have run into a very unexpected problem that I am now in the process of solving. Let me explain, I have ~5 of these fake logs in my tank for a cluster of hiding spots for my clowns. http://thumbs4.ebaystatic.com/d/l225/m/mgt85...

Re: OneWay's Thread
I got a new camera and took some pictures to show what changes i made to the DYI filter/sump over the last year. I replaced the clear water containers with opaque 3 gallon buckets. The buckets have more bioball capacity and they keep the bacteria in the dark better. I kept the nozzles from the water...

Re: New tank planning
You can check out the loach pictures/movie threads for ideas on decor, planting, and back grounds. If you check out my thread below... you will see I used the fabricated stone for my background... it will be three years this April since it has been installed and it looks great. The smaller loaches l...

I am no expert, but here is what i have done in the past with great success. If anyone else has a better method or suggestions please add them. Depending on how much time you have to move and the conditions you might be able to do it like this. i like to move my fish tanks last, but set them up firs...

The air strips do not add too much current, although they look like they do. The bubbles ass some vertical, but mostly surface movement. A good powerhead would add a lot of current to the tank and motivate them to move about a bit more. If the lighting is bright that can make them a bit more shy,, a...

I updated my tank water prep auto fill. I replaced my 45g trash can with a 50g rain barrel to collect my peat filter water. http://www.tripledeuces.com/users/oneway/tank/rain.jpg And since it already had a 3/8" hose coming out of it, I just reduced it down to 1/4" hose and attached it to my top off ...
