Not much traffic on here. I suggest Clown Loach Fanatics (Facebook) https://www.facebook.com/groups/139544712868942/

Good luck.

Thanks. I'll try that.

Found! (Re: LF new home for three 5" clown loaches (8yo).)

Found a good home for them. Please close/delete this post. Thanks Hi, I'm trying to find a new home for my last trio of clown loaches. They've been with me for many years. Healthy and fat. Eat everything, including flakes. Always kept them inside a 125 gallon tanks. I'm going to move next year, so I...

I'm also in NorCal, where are you located?
I'm sure there are plenty of people here who would love to re-home them.

I remember they weren't so burrow-happy a few years back when I first got them. In fact, they used to be frantic, swimming up and down across the tank

burrowing dojo, normal?

I've noticed that most of my older dojo like to spend most of their time (when the lights on) inside the sand substrate. Usually only leaving a small tip of their mouth outside.

Just wondering if this is normal?

the koi pond and its occupants were there when I visited recently.
I'm assuming that the store isn't doing so well. There were some tanks with sick fish, some of the display tank even had bad mixes of fish, and some were undermaintained.

last time I went there (4-5yrs ago), there was an old clown (with split pattern), easily over 15" - along with a bunch other smaller ones

today, only saw a few (maybe 3) young ones

Went to Capitol aquarium Sacramento today, no huge clown

was in the area for other things, dropped by hoping to see their huge clown loach (that was rumored to be 40yrs old), but looks like the old guy has passed away.

try Martin's recipe

try Martin's recipe - guaranteed to be a hit with them loaches!

plus, it's actually cheaper & safer (you know what's inside).

my loaches love them - my dojo especially, eat them of my hands

give it plenty of hiding space and they'll multiply in no time.

your betta will appreciate them as well (picking of the slower/older shrimps)

none of mine (have 7 total) is violence, towards own kind or any other fish (even smaller fish like pygmy cory). Odessa can be quite a fin nipper, but I doubt those dojos would sit still while the other fish go at them Something else is going on for sure, I'm thinking more like environment incompati...
