Update on dying loaches, Prime and gasping (dying) fish

Sorry I haven't updated everyone who was kind enough to help me with my strange water problem but I haven't done a water change since. I decided to give my fish a chance to recoup and try a different declorinator. I bought some Aqua+ from Nutrifin and did a 25% water change tonight. NO PROBLEMS so f...

Ok I'm not doing another water change til next week TG! but I will try a different type of indoctrinator. I know it's very hard to pin point a problem just from what I type and I do forget to mention things (sick gourami) and I really do appreciate the help. It's harder after yet another unsuccessfu...

That's what everyone tells me but it's the only thing I changed and that's when my troubles began. Maybe a bad bottle? I dunno at this point I'm grasping at straws but I have to do something.

Then that can't be what my fish died from. It's supposed to be very contagious and I do believe that if my other fish had anything wrong dating back 2 weeks when this fish had to be killed I would know. The problems with the water change do put a lot of stress on my fish that from what I've read can...

I talked to someone at Seachem and they sent me a pipette to help me out with my dosage so yes I would say that the dose I'm administering is ok. I will switch though to a different brand see if that helps at all. It is pretty much when all my troubles started but like I stated everyone kept telling...

I'm seriously starting to think it's the Prime that's causing me all this grief. Is that in any way possible? My problems started when I switched to Prime because everyone kept saying it was the best.

Oh btw I do not think it was columnaris disease because none of my other fish except the kuhlis show any sign of distress or other odd behaviour. Maybe he got too close to the heater and got burned I'll never know. I did think I had posted about the gourami here too but being a loach forum I might n...

Yup that post is also mine. I tell you I've been on countless message boards trying to figure out what's wrong and why things are getting worse. I'll give you a little history on my hobby. I started last Sept I'd wanted a little aquarium for a long time and someone gave me a 10 g tank. I cycled it a...

Diana, thank you for your post but I am so sick of writing down what my params are, what my plants, fish, decorations etc that I just plain give up. The aging of the water actually made things worse my harlequins have never had such a bad reaction. Right now I just want to give up. I want to give wh...

Nightmare continues!

I did a 25% water change yesterday and once again had problems. All my fish were ok for about 3 hours I tried letting the water age as suggested. Then all my fish (that I have left) were hanging at the top of the aquarium except for one harlequin rasbora that was shivering at the bottom of the tank....

I just lost all my Kuhlis (6 of them) and they all had similar symptoms. The odd floating and seizures. I'm still not sure what happened and never got to test the suggestions I got on this board as they all died :( I miss them very much and I really want to get more but I'm scared of killing those t...

Well if I ever find more kuhlis I'll try again but I'll need advice on how to loach proof my tank too. I haven't seen anymore little specks of mold in my tank for about a week so maybe that's under control.

I thought this would be a relaxing thing it's not LOL!
