Re: Loach/goby indentification?
Looks like a Pseudogobiopsis to me, probably a female specimen.
It might be useful to check the following two papers.

Re: Sicyopterus sp,"mountain rock goby"
Hi Odyssey,
Nice pictures and video.
Sometimes my Sicyopterus sp. act like the ones in the video and show their most beautiful colours.
Mine are from Indonesia and probably are S. lagocephalus.
What do you think?

Re: Stiphodon genus of the Goby
Yes, you remembered correctly. I have two female and two male S. percnopterygionus for about a year. They are doing fine and share the tank with several other Stiphodon species, Sicyopterus(probably S. lagocephalus) and a few other species. Stiphodon percnopterygionus (in the background Stiphodon ST...

Wonderful pictures, Odyssey.
I always enjoy your informative postings.
I wonder what that unknown Stiphodon might be.

It's a tablet for herbivorous fish. The ones in the video contain 20% Spirulina. What is the little disc?
I also use JBL Novofect.
When you give it a firm push and turn, it will stick to the aquariumglass or the stones/rocks.And how come it doesn't blow away with the water current?

Re: Some pictures of my 500l hillstream tank
I should have been more specific with my question. :) I meant the difference in behaviour between Hypergastromyzon and the other balitorids. My Hypergastromyzon are the boldest and most active species in the tank; they behave like little children. At night they will rest in the strongest current. Th...

What's your experience with Hypergastromyzon compared to the other balitorids so far?

I think the pattern of G.zebrinus is changing when time has passed. Yes, I think that's true. Probably young specimen are striped and when they grow older the pattern will change to spots. 12-05-2010 http://i472.photobucket.com/albums/rr85/kajra7/GZ1.jpg Same fish today 02-01-2011 http://i472.photo...

According to the advice that I heard from a local guide, you had better have seemed to go in the dry season. It was said to be a good season from June to August from the guide. Thanks Odyssey, I'll keep that in mind. Probably I will visit Sarawak, but I'm not sure which part; The southern part of S...
