Hello,

If I want to catch a kuhli loach, I put a small plastik container into the tank, which have 2-3 small holes, so the kuhlis can get into it.
Because the kuhlis a very curious fish, they will get int the box sooner or later and so you can catch then without a lot of stress.

Hi,

10 times the tank volume looks like a strong waterflow to me.
Maybe it also depends on what kind of "waterflow-producer" it is,
filter only, filter with additional powerhead and what kind of
powerhead used etc.

Hi

Thank you for the information.

If it is not necessary, then I will plan the tank setup without
the aditional powerhead and only with the canisterfilter.

I keep Kuhlis together with red cherry shrimps in the same tank.
There are no problems at all. They live together without any problems

Nice Pictures and interresting tank setup.

I have some "cool kuhlis" too and I like them very much.
They are really interresting to watch, when they come out

Hello,

Thank you very much for the answers.
We had a closer look at the pectoral and pelvic fins, and they do
overlap a bit, so we think they must be Homaloptera smithi.

If we ever get a better picture of them, I will show it to you.
