Acrylic tank repair
Some time ago I acquired an acrylic tank. Now it is time to put it to work and I have a few questions for the experts. The tank has been used as a reef tank and has a lot of calcium deposits. What is the best way to get rid of those without damaging the acrylic? It also has a number of big and minor...

how to move YoYo loches from one tank to the other
Hi everybody, I have three YoYo loaches in my gourami tank. They have to be moved in my new loach tank. The problem is that the tank they are currently in is heavily planted 75G with a big piece of wood they hide underneath. Netting them is out of question as this will destroy the tank and stress ot...

Garra flavatra-maintenance tips?
Over the last half year I acquired four panda garras from my LFS. They usually have one fish mixed in with something else and the staff did not even know what these fishes were. I put them in my community tank where they seem to be doing fine. However I am courious about the proper conditions these ...

I have red a bit more on the subject. The problem here is that you do not know what exactly is wrong with this fish. So for this guy to have any chance of recovery you need to make some guesses as to what would be the likely cause for his condition. If your fish is active and still eating then the m...

That fish looks very bad. You have to treat him ASAP. Metronidazole is not a dewormer but is effective against flagellates and some but not all bacteria. You need to use a dewormer in combination with Maracyn-2 plus maracyn as previously suggested. Unfortunately, levamisole is not available from the...

Diana, Thanks for the info. I wil try to feed as you suggested. I noticed that both fish are quite fond of frozen bloodworms, but I do need to supplement these with some vitaminized food. Apart from zucchini, what vegetables would you recommend? I will add sand on the bottom I have a very fine white...

baby yoyo loaches
Hi, I have been reading on this forum for awhile but this is my first post and I need advice. This Sunday I stopped by my LFS and saw that there were yoyo loaches in one of the tanks. I was shocked how small they were - barely half inch. I have 10 yoyo loaches, but they were much bigger when I bough...
