It depends on the RTS. Some are peaceful, others are very territorial and won't put up with any bottom dwellers. Generally you want to put them with fish that can hold their own against one though. And loaches look pretty similar to them; they're often territorial against similar looking fish.

Confused about which loaches are compatible

I keep hearing different opinions on which loach species are too aggressive to be kept together. So what loaches are generally compatible? Are clowns, zebra (Striata), kuhlis, yoyos, Bengal (Botia dario), Kubs, Botia angelicus, and sids all compatible?

FL

Thanks for the ordering sites.

How much are loaches at petsmart/petco/walmart? I recently read that yoyos can be like $80 for 4, is that true?

Do clowns HAVE to have a strong current?

Do they have to have a strong current in their tank to be happy? Because they require a pretty big tank and I'd rather not just have clowns in the tank but the fish I wanted wouldn't like strong currents (angels, severum, blue gourami, etc).

Easiest loaches to find

I don't have a LFS so I wanted to know which loaches I can expect to find at Walmart, Petsmart, Petco and other big chain pet stores. I know clowns will be easy to find, but will dojos, kuhlis, yoyos, sids, etc?

I have a python but it won't reach from the bathroom facet to every part of my room. I think it reaches almost every corner of my room except one spot where I plan to put a 100g. That's right next to the window, so I was thinking I could use my python to siphon water out into the yard and then attac...
