I had the same problem with a smal clown once. This is how I did it. I removed the decor and plants in one corner of the tank. Then I herded the clown into that empty space. Then I closed that space of from the rest of the tank with a sheet of plastic card. This makes the erea they can hide in much ...

I think I should try some of those pellets as well :)

No more angels to steal my kuhlii's food anymore.

Maybe a tip:
Feed them trough a plastic tube, this way you can place the wafer axactly where you want them, even under the cave.
this way the angels can't get to them.

Great looking tank!
Nice and light, also very clean looking.

1 point of advice:
I would add some more wood, especially more different kinds of wood.
Your L191 panaque is a wood eating fish, it needs wood to be nearly 90% of its diet.

By what I can tell they don't look like any sewellia I've seen. Then again I only have S. Lineonata. Its just that there overal bodyshape looks so different from other sewellia species, and there shape looks suspiciously like some of my pseudogastromysons. I'd bet someone else wille correct me..... ...

raecarrow wrote:Does anyone know how P.Oblonga do with other species of pangio? I've been thinking about adding some striped kuhlies to my Oblongas once I get my botine species their own tank.
I have P. Oblonga together with P. Meyersi.
They get along fine, all species of Pangio seem to get along with each other.

Funny, I just bought me 3 of those in Hilversum (NL) 2 weeks ago.

They where sold as Lineolata.
I saw they had different markings then other Lineolata, but thought nothing of it.

It's just such a shame that when even a small amount of chlorine gets in the shrimp-tank, that all the shrimp might go belly-up.

So plants is the way to go I guess.

What you could do is wrap some (heat-resistent) dark tape around the lamps where you don't need the high light output. This way you can give the Loaches there shade, and the red plants there bright light. Just a thought... For a more natural solution (and if you have a cover glass), You could put so...

Have fun with the striatas, they are great!

Yours still look a bit skinny, but don't worry, they will fatten up quick.
They eat just about anything :)

I do not have Sids myself, but a friend of mine (Catsandfish on this forum) has about 9 of them. His tank used to be pretty much free of snails, until he removed the Sids from it. Now the tank is crawling with the buggers again. I think he also had a Loricarid catfish that eats snails wich he sold r...

WOW! that looks so cool! I've only seen weather loaches from the sides (in aquariums) they are so cool from above. The thing is, my pond is lower then ground level, so I'm expecting it gets colder in winter then your pond. I definetly be checking the temp. next winter because they look so cool in th...
