it was reasonably priced but it has been a while, so I am not sure if they are still selling it, or not

Re: pics of my fish

I know this is months late, but whatever,
I think your angel fish are (Were) lovely. I have a big female that looks JUST like the first pic!!
I have tried to keep those little shrimp but they all seem to die ,despite really good water parameters.
just thought I'd say that your fish look reallly nice

Re: New loach lover. Some pics and videos

oh, BTW those fork tailed rainbows are PRETTY
I have turquoise rainbows in my clown tank and Boesmani's with my yoyo tank. They make great dithers, are truly beautiful on their own and quite nice and peaceful community fish in general.

Re: New loach lover. Some pics and videos

I used silicone sealant to glue gravel to PVC and it looked okay, but still somewhat fake. I still have that cave in one of my tanks since the fish love it so much. I wish I could find a more "natural" looking safe tube like structure that naturally sinks. I recently bought some "cichlid stones" tha...

Re: New Clown Tank (Serving Penance or doing right by the fi

just to second that thought... My TDS meter has been a LIFEsaver, literally. It is such a good screening test for water differences, and I truly think mine has been the MOST VALUABLE small piece of equipment I have purchased. The one I have (TDS-3, I think) is available on Foster and Smith for less ...

Re: Sick clown loach

last time I checked you can still get levamisole from Tampa Research center, but that might be out of date (just where I got it last time I needed some). If you need more info, let me know

Re: nitrite in my tap water!

Thanks for the help! I have already cut the feeds in half (believe me, my fish won't starve!), and have live plants in all the tanks, already. I did one water change with distilled water, which is probably not the best choice, but they tolerated it well (I have very soft water in the tap, but the TD...

nitrite in my tap water!

Well I got up early this am to do some tank work and was setting up a quarantine tank and tested the NEW water going in, and YIKES there were a LOT of nitrites in there (also some nitrates, but less than 5. I have 9 tanks, so will use the dipsticks (Tetra easy strips) as sort of a screening tool. I ...
