Re: Get em while they are hot! Yoyos on sale at petsmart for

I have seen many times that they sell yoyo as kub but sometimes they sell kubs as yoyos. I picked up 5 kubs for $5 each a couple years ago. Make sure you have a spare
Q tank set up to watch them for a while most off the fish I have purchased from central system (filter) have come down with ick.

Re: moving coast to coast

Nancy I dont know much about moving. o2 packing them as far as I know should give a minimum of 24 hours of safe baging. Use larger stronger bags. I talk to a couple of the distributers fot the east coast and could ask questions if needed. I think a few of the old regulars on the site could help more...

Some people have posted that they have treated ick by just turning up the temp to 85-88 and just doing a vaccum of the gravel daily. I would also add more air (air stone or powerhead aimed at the surface). The higher the temp the less O2 in the water. Good luck. I have lost a few in the past from it...

My zebras do seem to like snails. My kubs and yoyo on the other hand love them. They play "catch me if you can" with the empty shells. YMMV

Thanks for the replies. I look at this as a good size project that will take years to complete. I plan on starting out with a 150-180, what ever size I can get a good price once for a used one. I have an FX5 that is new and ready for when I get the tank after we move. As tanks are found and money al...

I started with frozen blood worms. After a few weeks they were eating out of my hand. I now thaw frozen foods so I dont have my hands in the tank as much. They don't even take shrimp from my hands at this point. I just got 14 Sid's a couple of months ago and I can tell you that I have been nipped by...

He swam in the outlet and got gutted by the motor. I really wanted to see how he would look all grow up. I need to figure out how to keep loach...

I know many women that are more handy then men. You're not using the spray bar so whats the harm in giving it a try. If it don't work its not a big loss.

DIY Filters

I was wondering if anyone has made a large filter system. I plan on having a large amount of water and was wondering if I could make my own filter to save money.

It would be a central system in another room.
