I have approximately 40 Stiphodons and Syciopus jongklasii (5 of them). Shortly I will be looking for new home for them. Among Stiphodons I have 2 pairs of true S.percnopterogionus; 3 pairs of S.semoni; 3 Pairs of S. 'Rainbow' and several S.'sunspot' and some different S.'Rainbow' type.

So I bought those Stiphodons. Definitely from the 'Rainbow' group, but they are entirely different from what was available around here - they have a slightly bluish hue when 'at peace'. The pic from AquaBid is showing either stressed fish ("out of the bag"), or of a different Stiphopdon.

On Aquabid there are Stiphodons for sale. They are advertised as "Elegant algae eating Gobies", suggesting that they are Stiphodon elegans?

Are they really - can anybody ascertain that, please.

For several weeks now I'm managing somehow to maintain a large culture of Daphnia moina and I noticed that my Gobies are very fond of them. A few days ago I obtained two pairs of S. percnopterogionus and four pairs of S.semoni. S.percnopterogionus are very small, hardly exceeding an inch in length ...

A lot of well seasoned floating plants in a good light will provide your fry with sufficient food for a few days .....

That is how they are listed on Segrest Farms wholesale availability list. I ordered a dozen of them and I will receive them on Thursday afternoon. I hope they will look like the 'Sumatra red neon gobies' as pictured on Frank's Aquarium page. I checked Internet, and it seems that THIS IS IT!!!

I also have in my tank a half a dozen of Botia sidthimunki ( chain loach) and they are displaying a definitely agressive behaviour towards
'Rainbows', as well as towards Sicyopus jongclassi. My tank is a rather heavily planted one, and there ...
