I have 45 clowns and my big ones do the same thing when they are angry or hungry. They clip the stem off right by the roots. They also would puncture my marimo balls and flatten them. Loaches for Food

I went to my local Korean market yesterday and low and behold they had a bucket of live dojo loaches for sale as food.

They were labeled as mud fish , but they were clearly dojos.

Once they are over to the 400, I will upping the number of yoyos to 6 or 10, I am a firm practicer of keeping loaches in numbers.

The 2" holes are on the bottom of the tank. They are setup as a closed loop system w. the 1.5" returns.

I have more 1.5" drains for my sump, seperate.

I have my 400 gallon tank setup. I need to buy the pumps to power the closed loop system. The tank is 10ft long. All the water drains from one side using a wall drain and needs to be pumped back to the other side using bulkheads drilled on the other side for the returns. I alrdy have 2- Eheim 2260's...

My clowns play soccer with my smaller river rocks.

They move them around all the time. Always hear banging when the lights are out.

My clowns also play with my glass thermometers, theyve broken 4 of them.

Mine also like to play in the current swimming around in it.

After 2.5 months, my custom acrylic tank is finally going to be shipped to me next week. I completely designed the tank myself, hoping to get as much of a unidirectional flow as possible. 3M color quartz is round and coated in silica.

it is perfectly safe for loaches and is quite heavy so it wont stir up like normal sand.

it comes in 2 sizes and many colors

if you have a snail problem and dont have "loach friendly" tank conditions, I suggest investing in assassin snails.
