Worried about my female Sewellia.

I've notice over the last two months two symetrical white patches appear on my breeding female Sewellia. Are they a bad sign or natural? Here is a picture of her about a year ago. http://www.penphoto.talktalk.net/spotty3.jpg Here are pictures with the marks. http://www.penphoto.talktalk.net/spotty.j...

Re: Ideal small loach for 60 litre planted?

They bury themselves in in substrate when the lights are on. When the lights go on, they rapidly start cruising about.

Re: Ideal small loach for 60 litre planted?

Give them time, Ive got 3 assasin snails in my 100l and it took a about a month for them to start getting hungry. Now I have a lot less pest snails!

Re: flow and temp for weather loaches

Your 55gal is 208litre. I have a 100 litre with an aquaclear 50, eheim 2215 and an eheim aquaball 130. But I have hillstream loach, but Weather loach can live in streams fish so they will enjoy some flow.

Glue for stones.

I'd like to glue some stones together to make some nice arches and caves for my fish, but i'm unsure which glues are fish safe. I'm only talking about cobbles not large stones. I'd thought about CA but i'm not sure if it would be too brittle?

Re: flow and temp for weather loaches

23C is a little warm, for Weather loaches, but not to high I feel. I assume your referring to Misgurnus anguillicaudatus (chinese weather loach). If its Misgurnus fossilis (european or russian Weather loach)it is a bit too warm. Which powerhead did you add? For a 55g i'd use a large external caniste...

Hmm I used to have my lights on for 8hrs a day, and had cyano issues. I've now decreased the lighting to 6hrs, with Java moss, Java fern and Anubias they only need low light. How often do you water change and how regularly, do you use a siphon vacuum to clean the tank? I have a 100L tank with a sing...

I had a cyno issue, I found changing my lighting times and using a water vacuum helped reduce the issue to almost zero. How many hours a day are the lights on, and how many other plants do you have?

Maracyn is an antibiotic, as such it can only be prescribed by a vet. What do you need it for?
