Question about the algae you have grown, does the algae stick to the rock quite well or it's easy to scrap off by touch? I was able to grow some algae with your method however the algae is really soft and it flakes off the rock when I touch it. Not sure if my algae is safe, is there anyway to test t...

I was debating whether to get stealth heater since it was cheaper than the Rena smartheater by $10. Good thing I chose the Rena smartheater instead of this one... :D

Hillstream Loaches compatible with Albino Bushynose Pleco?

I have a 20G tank with a single Albino Bushynose Pleco, I plan to move my two Beaufortia into that tank. Do you think they will get along? My pleco is about 2inches long.

Katja, what kind of flakes are you feeding them? If you can tell me the brand that would be great too. My loaches are picky eaters, I have tried a lot of different kinds of food but they won't touch most of them.

Hiding loaches

Help with growing alegae for Hillstream loach

I read the Martin's webpage on glowing algae and tried the "secret ingredient" as well  . I did get something that looked like an algae bloom, the water turned green and the rocks were covered by a thin green layer. However, I find it odd that the layer of comes off when I touch the rock, it wa...
