Giant Danios are quite active. My Giant Danios occupy the upper third of my 55 gallon tank. According to most books and experts that have advised me, you can keep one fish for every gallon that is one inch in length. Therefore, if you divide 57 by 3, you should be able to comfortably keep 19 fish in the tank. Hope this helps :D

I use oak leaves in my 30 gallon to give my Apistogrammas some cover. I only added about three, so because they do indeed lower the pH. If you want to add more, I think you are supposed to boil the leaves first, which should remove the acidity of the leaves. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong :D.
