Re: Skinny or petite clown loach?

There was a post I read awhile back from a user on the forum Diana. Having a hard time finding it at the moment, but when I treated my shoal for skinny I went with her recommendation and it worked like a charm. It consisted of rotating parasite meds and antibiotics. Edit: Oh here I just found it: ht...

Re: Columnaris Treatment - Help Please

Update: Installed the UV sterilizer on the 210g. No other fish have shown any symptoms and WOW what a difference it has made in my clowns. I have noticed much better coloring and they seem more active. The 3 rainbows in QT are the same. Not getting any better, not getting any worse. Still eating. I ...

I had that happen to one of mine once. It retracted after a day or so - no clue what happened.

Re: Columnaris Treatment - Help Please

Thank you for your help. I originally thought it was fungus but then after research landed on Columnaris. I will try to get some pics, I might be way off I have never had Columnaris or fungus before. I tried to get pics about a week ago but had a hard time getting good ones. And then my camera batte...

Columnaris Treatment - Help Please

Hello everyone. I think have an outbreak of Columnaris in my 210g. The tank is 210g with a 30g sump. I do weekly 40% water changes. It's stocked with clown loaches (5.5"-9.5") and assorted rainbows. At first, it was just one rainbow. I thought she had a fungus infection, I put her in QT and started ...

Re: Shipping Large Loaches

How far are they traveling? What are the temps? Daytime/Nighttime. I would stop feeding them for several days. Individually double bag them with oxygen. 1/3 water, 2/3 air. Place the bags in a styrofoam box. Use the smallest box all the fish would fit in. Or pick boxes you can fit 6-8 fish in separ...

Shipping Large Loaches

Does anyone have experience shipping large clown loaches? There is a nice shoal of loaches for sale in another state, approx. 30 loaches ranging in size from 5"-12". I am trying to find a way to ship them here, vs. flying down and driving them back. Any suggestions?

Re: will clowns eat from my fingers?

I feed my frozen formula 1&2 by hand, just because it doesn't want to break up so I rub it between my fingers in the tank. A few of my clowns will eat from my hand, it just takes time.

Re: Clown Loach Fin Problem

That loach has skinny disease and a secondary infection has now set in, possibly fin rot.

Re: clown loaches and ick

I've used Kordon's when the salt/heat method didn't work. I dosed per instructions on the bottle and that worked fine for me. Even have a BGK in with my clowns and it didn't phase him.
