You have to be really really careful when you do water changes that you put in relatively the same stuff you take out. Ick is pretty easy to kill with high temperature. Unless you have coldwater fish you're ok. Clown loaches especially, but most botia can take it, most tropicals, most livebearers. Y...

I think so too. I'm pretty sure most recipes involve mixing 8/3 parts vodka/clove oil to about 1 gal of water because mixing the clove oil and vodka first some how complexes it into something that whacks the fish better and more painlessly... Kind of like NH3 is super toxic but you squeeze an extra ...

Yup. Harold who is a very knowledgeable person from the LFS I go to suggests doing that. I think the doseage is readily available out there. Apparently if you do it right its like you going into anaesthesia. You just kind of feel dizzy then WHAM you're asleep... Just that in this case you don't wake...

In future clove oil is better than freezing- which is quite painful and a crummy experience for the fish. Clove oil just knocks them out dead painlessly at a high doseage... beats a whack to the head by a mile... freezing by two.

It depends what fish you have. If your fish will tolerate 86F for a few days then yes. If not, then no. For example, most goldfish aren't going to do very well at 86F. Weather loaches might not make it throught the few days at that temp. On the other hand, a clown loach wouldn't even notice... so it...

Yes they have spines under their eyes which are especially dangerous on larger loaches. If they feel threatened they stick out and are very very sharp- so keep your fingers away from the general head area.

That's like using aspirin to treat cancer. If the drug is not for that, you don't use it. Sorry you're having difficulty with your loach. "Water as close to perfect as possible" doesn't tell us anything. What is your temperature? your pH? TDS? kH? How often do you change your water? How long have yo...

I was thinking if someone could put some levamisole in a box and ship it to NFLD and then just get cash sent to you @ Western Union in return. I can do it but not until I have enough cash on me in like 3 weeks- might be too long...

http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n88/111olbap/img_1106.jpg this is their best tank and it speaks for itself. Every malawi cichlid there is, with absolutely no cover, in a big 8000 gallon cube tank, eating flake food, without a proper diet... Terrible water quality... uneducated staff... http://i1...

Helping Shaazam....

Does anyone know of an alternative for Levamisole assuming it can't be found out in NFLD? Praziquantel or something maybe? That can be ordered and sent out there via MOPS web site...

Any ideas?

thanks

If you can find some way of forwarding payment for the product and shipping (Western Union is probably easiest) I'd be happy to buy some and ship it out... You should be able to get it from a farm, or from a good vet... If there are any farms with large quantities of sheep out there you might want t...
