Its very cute. Quite relaxed movement rather than the frantic, speedy movements quite often seen in a lot of loaches....though I confess I know nothing about hillstreams. Was that really a video function on your camera or a rapid series of photographs? My camera (Olympus Mju 800) takes much better v...

DOG FOR SALE: Standard poodle (might be some kind of terrier) seeks a home with a responsible, well-informed owner. This dog, which hails from "some puppy mill" (according to the exporter's documents) [or possibly Sumatra] is a member of the family Felidae and has a maximum total length of 13 cm. E...

Since everyones guesses seem to be wildly different I thought I'd add more silliness to it.

I'm going with fishy parthenogenesis.

Only snails I've ever considered pests were ones I actually paid for. The shop neglected to mention that they were giant apple snails, not just normal apple snails. Ate every damn plant in my tank including the java moss!

My yoyo's are absolutely useless. They don't eat ANY kind of snail until its fully grown and dead or dying. The striata eat all the sorts of snails you tend to bring in on plants but as far as I can tell they leave the MTS alone. I don't mind, I like the trumpets. They leave cool trails in the sand ...

My big girl got rid of her eggs somehow. She was enormous but...well....not like that fish in the picture there!

I didn't see any eggs or different behaviour but one day out of the blue her belly wasn't huge anymore. Can't think of anything I may have done to trigger it.

I have amano shrimp in my tank with the yoyo's. The biggest loach is nearing 5" and I've never had any problems at all. If I get new shrimp that are very small then I'll put them in the other tank first, that has striata's in it and they don't even bother the little shrimp. I'd imagine your clown lo...
