Here is a video of my Clowns, they were a little shy.
Dont think I have put it on here before anywhere. If I have I apologise.

Re: Looking for Clowns
I have had a response from Pier Aquatics, but if anybody has any going I would still be interested.
I am trying to sell off my South and Central American Cichlids so that I can open up a couple of more tanks for Loaches.

Looking for Clowns
Hi All, Not been around much due to work. As I mentioned somewhere in another thread I am looking at doing a study on Clown Loach Behaviour in Aquariums with the long term view of hopefully getting them to breed without the need to use hormones etc. At the moment I have 10 x 3" - 5" Clowns but I am ...

Re: Setting up my first Clown Loach tank.
Another thing you need to ask yourself is: Are you willing to spend the next 40 - 50 years looking after the Clown Loaches and doing bi-weekly water changes of at least 25% without fail, as this is how long they can live. As others have mentioned you are better off starting with a 72" x 24" x 24" ta...

Re: Starting a new Loach Tank
Hi Jaguar :D That is a fantastic tank, really impressive on the video :) Daft question, but is it a bubble curtain you are using at the back ? Ellabellaboo  Hi Ellabellaboo, Thank you. Not a daft question at all. Yes it is an air curtain. In order to get the right amount of air pressure, I do...

Re: Starting a new Loach Tank
Thanks Redshark...
I will try to keep up to date photos as things progress. The tank is nowhere near finished yet, more decor and plants to go in over the next weeks or even months, work and money permitting. As long as the Clowns keep still for a few seconds I will get some photos of them done.

Re: I am new to this forum
Thank you Emma, that is appreciated. I have done something fairly similar to you, so you have put my mind at rest. I have put a photo of my tank and some specs in another thread at the following link, http://forums.loaches.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=22920 . I still have a lot to do, but when it is fini...

Re: Starting a new Loach Tank
I live in West Wales, UK, the water is straight from the tap, but first dechlorinated using a Carbon Purifier ( http://www.absolute-koi.com/subcat1095.html ) normally used in Koi ponds. I also add a small amount of Seachem Prime just to be safe. To get the phosphates down I have a litre of Rowaphos ...

Re: I am new to this forum
Welcome to both of you to the forum. I am not sure of the answer of how many loaches. Glad you are working on a bitope. I'll ask Emma how big Marge's tank is (unfortunately passed away a while back:( She was a beautiful and very old fish. Also take a look at Marcos' thread on his loach tank. It is ...

Re: I am new to this forum
Sorry for the delay in answering.
So my 182.9 x 67 x 67 will be fine for a few loaches then (800litres actual volume). And maybe something else.
I am going to try and do a Clown Loach Biotope system.

Re: I am new to this forum
In centimeters the tank is 182.9 x 61 x 61, internal size/actual water volume, and this totals 680litres.
