Maybe on the O2 issue. The water movement has not changed, the temp has not changed. However the plants, of which are the bulk of my O2 supply (it's a plant tank) have been decimated by the snails lack the folage they had. I guess it's possilbe the loaches were just the "oxygen dependant straw" that...

The tank has been around for 3 years, the flying foxes were about 2 years old and in perfect health. 0 ammonia, PH 6.8, and 0 nitrites. Falwalla is not dead. The other thing that is odd is the snail use to mate with just two. Now there is these clumps of 4-6 at a time. Heater is fine.

I have a 40 gallon tank with 5 cardinals, 2 flying foxes and a fallowala. I bought 2 golden loaches to deal with a snail problem. I put them in the tank 1 day ago. Today I have 2 dead flying foxes (4"long fish), my cardinals are at the surface of the water, something they never did, and my fallowala...
