Re: Male or female Sewellia lineolata?
Looks to be female. Males usually have "fences" on their pectoral fins and more of a angle rather than the female's "round" fins.

Re: Hemimyzon nanensis
Thanks for the update. I was wondering which species they were when I asked for photos. Hopefully, Wetspot still has a few left on my pay day this coming week. Too bad they are sold at a small size. I wonder if Wetspot's stock photo was an older fish?

Re: Hemimyzon nanensis
Nice photos! They look to be a hemimyzon at least.
Do you plan on ordering those "Fire Works Hillstream Loach" Wetpost has listed? I am curious how those look like as I can always add more sewellia species to my tanks...

Re: Loaches of Vietnam
Mikev, are they the real ones? I was going to purchase a small group of them too but wanted to make sure they were the real ones rather than a misidentified species.

Re: pseudogastromyzon fasciatus
Good luck! You're always finding cool loaches . I wished my LFS carried these type of loaches but so far, there is not a demand for any hillstream loach, locally.

Re: rhinogobius or stiphodon
I am not sure about the rhinogobius as I have not kept them but have stiphodons with my sicyopterus. The sicyopterus are a little rough with the male stiphodons so make sure you have enough room if you get either stiphodons or rhinogobius.

Re: Some loach photos...
Both of the sewellia were from Wetspot. The p. myersi was from a seller on Aquabid and the gastromyzon was from one of my LFS.
The old g. zebrinus I kept in the past, were a different color from this one which was why I was not sure on the ID. Not sure why this one is a darker brown/black.

Some of the new loaches. Not too sure on the sewellia IDs but that is what I bought them under: Sewellia "SEW04": http://i586.photobucket.com/albums/ss306/shuwae/DSC_0486_zps54259784.jpg http://i586.photobucket.com/albums/ss306/shuwae/DSC_0483_zps0f50b9d7.jpg Sewellia "SEW03": http://i586.photobucke...

Female stiphodon...or not
I was finally able to get photos of a stiphodon that I am not sure if it is a female or male. I picked this one up with a group of stiphodon ornatus almost a year ago. I remember I had one exactly like this one too, in the past before I had to downsize before a move. Both photos are of the same goby...

Wonderful photos! I'm jealous you are able to see all these beautiful fish in their habitat, especially the Niwaella delicata. Always looking forward to new photos .
