That behavior is totally normal! B. Kubotia (Kubs) are a very boisteruius species of Botiine loach. Kubs are teh most active of the smaller Botiines in my experience. They will chase small dihter fish, play hide ans seek games with each other and also like many other loaches they do the "loachy danc...

I've had a Golden sucking loach for a couple of years now, he was first introduced to my cold water tank but he attacked the goldfish and managed to suck some of their scales off!! The species Cobitis taenia is sometimes called "spotted weather loach"....this type of fish requires a lot of area for moving and digging as they become very active when they become adult.
