Thanks Mikev I am going out to get the ich guard today. As far as the fish in my tank go I was told that the tetra I have were ok with water temps in the 70 to 78 range. My plan was to move my betta into a 5 gallon tank in the next couple of months because I plan to keep my tank at about 75 degrees....
