Re: Kuhli Loach help please!!
I'm always on the lookout for more Pangio Kuhli's, so I hope to add 2-4 more when I can. They're hard to find in my area for some reason. Then maybe my guys will do their corner dance again if I have more of them. :) I'll have to try some veggies/fruit to the aquarium & see what happens, that's a gr...

Re: Kuhli Loach help please!!
NancyD did your Pangio's ever do the corner swimming thing? It was really cool to watch them & I totally do not know how they didn't make themselves dizzy since it went on constantly during the day at least, for over 6 wks! I'm thinking you may be right in that they somehow recognize their own speci...

Re: Kuhli Loach help please!!
My guys seem to be the opposite of yours, I see the Black Kuhli's out more often than the Pangio's! Over the past 6 wks or so I've noticed my Pangio's out more often during the day. Maybe 18-24 mo's ago I had a group of Pangio's that made me dizzy swimming up & down the corners of the aquarium all t...

Re: Kuhli Loach help please!!
Thank you! The bigger Kuhli's stay on the far left side of the aquarium & the babies seem to stay in the middle. The black Kuhli's are more active than the Pangio's but I've never seen them in the middle tank area during feeding, so I think the babies are OK as far as getting food. In fact that's wh...

Kuhli Loach help please!!
About a month ago I found these adorable baby Kuhli's at a lfs and I got two of them. I think I still have both of them, have only ever seen one at a time though so I'm not 100% if I still have both! :). These little ones were only 1.5"-2" long when I got them. Wasn't expecting to see them again unt...

Re: Baby Kuhlies
Congratulations on your newest family members!!! I got my Nerite snails from a guy in a local fish forum that sells them. Nerites are fantastic little guys who just LOVE eating algae. Sometimes they can be purchased & shipped if you can't find any in your area locally. When you look for them check l...

Re: Kuhli Community Tank
Wow, it's only been 48 hrs and I am seeing more of my Kuhli's now than I have in months! Having the Cories really seem to help the Kuhli's so they're not as prone to hide all day. Can't wait to see what happens once I add more Kuhli's.

Re: Kuhli Community Tank
Thanks Diana!! So from what you said my 40g breeder should be ok with a total of 10 Kuhli's along with the other fish, right? I can't wait to find some more locally to finish stocking my aquarium!!! I have never seen two different species of fish actually play with each other, so it took me by supri...

Kuhli Community Tank
Hi everyone!! I am having to move some of my fishies around between my 40g breeder & 20g high and had a question or two regarding my Kuhli's. My 40g breeder will be stocked with 3 GBR (which I will be re-homing very soon), 4 long fin Danio, 5 Peppered Cory, 2 Laetacara Dorsigera & 4 Kuhli loach. I w...

Need NON Snail Eating Loach or Botia!!!
 Help!! I have a 40 g breeder that has 2-med/lrg Angel fish, 4-long fin Danio, 2-Rams and some Nerite Snails (Zebra and Horned Zebra). I plan on adding several more nerite's and some live plants eventually but I need a scavenger or two. What I'm looking for is something that is between 2-4 inc...

Re: Kuhli Loach Help Please
I'm going out to buy some smooth stones, this will help with the hiding in the plastic plant issue for sure! Thanks so much for your post and adding the pic as well it really helped to see what you meant. I love watching these guys play and swim around so I hope mine don't pull a dissapearing act li...

Re: Kuhli Loach Help Please
SA Cichlids especially the ones I have are MUCH more mild than the African varieties of Cichlids and with the exception of the Angels all the rest are considered to be "dwarf" Cichlids. The type of Cichlids I have can all be kept in a community set up, which can't be done with most Cichlids. My Ange...

Re: Kuhli Loach Help Please
I have 2 of each of the following: Angel, Ram & Krib. Rams and Krib's are new, have had not quite 1 wk. Have had the Angels for about the same length of time as I have had the Kuhli's. I keep a close eye on them since they're approx 3" each now. They are maturing and I'm waiting to see if I have a p...
