That was actually why we bought our piece of drift wood what we knew would be YEARS before the tank was set up: It forms one large natural cave, and the rest of it is pretty without giving any cracks for them to get stuck in. We saw it before with our old clowns : /

I'm setting up a 12 gallon long (36"-9"-8") right now. Over filtered and heavily planted with C. Parva and moss. Fair amount of rock work.

Too small of a tank for Dwarf Chain Loaches.

I'm wondering if there are any loaches that are even smaller that exhibit the complex social behaviors chains ...
