Hi MandyMunkey, I have 4 yoyo loaches, 9 clown loaches and 20 kuhli loaches in my big tank. My yoyo loachs are all obese!!! The clown, yoyo and [most of my] loaches have been together for 3-4 years. I have had no problems with them all getting along. Mindst you they have doubled their length in that...

Re: New Loach owner, have a few questions!!
Loachs are very sociable and playful fish. 1 loach on it's own is extremely subject to stress, disease and depression. Please buy the loach at least 3 more???

Re: Loach newbie - have I scared them?
Hi Ray, They would have got a fright but it won't be their last. If you've got plenty of different hiddee-holes, plenty of plants they will chill out in time. More loachs [eg min. 5] would make them more secure. What size tank do you have pls? Is your substrate fine sand? A weekly meal of things lik...

Re: Went from Ich to this! Please help find out what this is
Just a suggestion for the future, I always buy at least 4 clown loaches together. I rarely get Ick. When I do, I do a 10% water change [for 5 days] and 1 [1/2] half dose of Wardleys White Spot cure - As soon as I see the slightest hint of 1 loach 'flash' against a rock. My method stops the Ick from ...

Re: Brown Spot
One of my yoyo [dojo] loaches developed a brown spot behind its right gill in May! It's not a lump but it is the size of a one of the smiley faces in diameter. The loach is showing no signs of illness and none of the others have broken out in brown spots. I just think it's a mark ..... possibly doin...
