Re: OBESE Yoyo!

OMGoodness!! Your tank sounds AMAZING & I would absolutely love to see a picture of it! I'm so anxious to get some wood & moss into my tank, but I've been so paranoid to pull the trigger because I don't want to bring in any disease - especially ICH! I'm thinking that I might go ahead & order some fr...

Re: Newbe

Welcome, Newbe!

I love the photo that you were able to upload... that particular Clown looks very similar to my Giuseppe. =) I'm looking forward to seeing more photos & learning more about your fish, too!

Re: Caring for 5 SUPER TINY Clowns - HELP!

Hi Fishee!! Thanks for following the thread - I'm glad to know that our little one has a few fans. I'm certainly a fan of the feisty little one! He/she is still doing exceptionally well, so well in fact, that I'm considering moving him/her into the main tank this weekend! I haven't made a final deci...

Re: Emergency body slime, eye cloud, bloody eyes

What a relief! I'm glad everyone is looking normal & I totally agree with that secondary line up of antibacterial meds in this case. Good going getting your tank back in order!

Re: Big Mouth

OMGOMGOMG!!! I was going through some old pictures of my fish & LOOK!! I caught Big Bertha doing the "big mouth" pose too! LOL Seeing your picture reminded me that they used to do it, but I didn't realize that I actually had a picture!? The little guy pictured here with her passed away. His name was...

OBESE Yoyo!

WTH!? He's such a little food mongrel! He gets to the food first & eats as much as he can & holy cow the others are lucky if they get any. LOL! He's super healthy, has absolutely NO issues, but I'm figuring that this can't actually be all that healthy, right? So, what can I do? If I feed less then c...

Re: Loch Ness Loach?

Welcome to the forums! Also, wonderful post & what a neat & exciting experience to see a mystery fish! I agree that he must have survived in the moist bag... I've read several stories about how some will jump from the tank, appear dead, but that you should always throw them back in the tank because ...

Re: Throw away your canister filters !

Wow! This is my first time seeing this post. I've learned a lot from it & would like to thank you for posting it & then updating, RedShark! I've always been leery of external canister filters so we use the hang on the back variety along with air pumps... don't know too much about under gravel filter...

Re: Big Mouth

PERFECT SHOT!!

Wow! That's so cool that you caught that on camera! My little ones do this quite often... not sure why? Just a funny little quirky stretch or something similar to that I imagine.

Thanks for posting here, but I think it should go on that funny loach thread, too!

Re: Yo Yo Loaches suddenly hiding + getting startled easily

This seizure behavior you're describing almost sounds like "flashing" - fish will flash & hide because something is out of whack in the tank - whether it be related to the nitrogen cycle or to bacteria... or parasites... that's something we have to figure out. I agree with using the search option to...

OMGoodness... I don't even know where to begin with a reply here. I just wanted to chime in to let you know that I feel for your & you frustrations & sense of helplessness. I'm so sorry for your losses & I do hope that you can find an answer to this soon. A couple things that do come to mind for me ...

Re: Vitamin Additives - Yay or Nay?

Well, unfortunately, I only had one of those little sick babies make it through the Ich treatment... "he's" still in QT, but is doing excellent. I've slowly been able to get him to take a larger variety of foods as well. Currently, he's alternating between spriulina enhanced brine shrimp, bloodworms...

Re: Caring for 5 SUPER TINY Clowns - HELP!

Yes, it sure does! Both pictures above are of the same fish - our lone survivor! He's actually got black barbels, too, which is interesting because all of my others have relatively light "faces" & moustaches. We're pretty attached to him already, but still trying to err on the cautious side. He's da...
