if you want i really nice passive, un-destructive, shoaling tetra, i would go for the glowlight tetra, or the bleeding hearts. also have you thought about danios? mine loves to play in the out-put of my aqua-clear 70 HOB filter. danios do seem to be slightly more ''panicky'' than the other 2 tetras ...

if you want a nice dither fish i would go with either serpae, bleeding hearts, or lemon tetras. all are nice looking, not to picky, and are not figity very often (unless attacked, abviously). i have had all the fish i just metioned other than the bleeding hearts and am pritty sure they would look gr...

good to know what they are eating! the blue shrimp- are they shrimp or crayfish. i think that the adults will eat them, unless, the shrimp are in the juvi tank.

found him :D :D :D . beautiful tank love how clean it looked :D , almond leaves make it seem more like a river or lake bottom though, did they add much tanins or was the camera on a diiferent setting when you took the pic with the leaves, or was it bright before because the sand reflected the light ...

well, if they are growing and seem happy then just keep doing what you are doing, is all i can say. bad idea to fix something that is not broken, lol. is there a certain spot they like to hide?

also try using a commercial algae waffer, but, only one, they may actually like it. if you have a chance ask the lfs owner what he was feeding them. they may have gotton used to it and don't really know that the zucchini is a food.

also, do you have a package for the bone? if so make sure that the company did not add anything extra that you may not know about.

one of the guys that keeps shrimp in the area that i live in just has a piece hanging in the tank, just break a small piece off (about the size of a quarter), it will float for a few days but will eventually sink, then you can put it some where unintrusive, the shrimp and if you have snails and any ...

most people that keep shrimp in low calcium water will have either special food that will give the shrimp the calcium they need or they will put in a cuttlefish bone (the ones for birds) and this will give them the required calcium they need, also they will eat their own exo-skeleton for the calcium...

try feeding them some spinach, i have heard that they normally love it. if they can not actually eat it then boil it for a minute or 2 to soften it up. they are probably eating algea and rasping lots on the drify wood. if they are growing and healthy then i think you are doing good. the blue eyed pl...
