Re: Tank just got bigger, help with 1000 litre, a few ?'s

the fish should be okay for a few days if you run filters and don't feed doing some water changes

Re: Tank Mates for Banded Tiger Loach?

I'd return the helodes personally.

although a yo-yo can deal with the hell that comes from the helodes personality I wouldn't want to do that to it.

good tank mates for a helodes are eos and modesta... but it is just better to get more helodes

and they get quite large too

Re: When will 5 clown loaches outgrow a 90 gallon?

I found another thread and someone named emma turner who has almost 9000 posts on this site kept clowns in a 4ft tank until they were 8 inches. I think I'm going to listen to someone with 9000 posts on a purely loaches site and keep my loaches in the 90 longer. so you got the search feature working...

Re: Problem with 160 gallon rivertank

one last question
what "weld-on" did you use for the plexi?

I have been told that weld-on 4 is the best

Re: Problem with 160 gallon rivertank

what thickness of plex did you use?
it is only 16" high right?

I am building a plexi tank in the near future so this is of great interest to me.
ply/or liner tanks with one window are the cheap way to go!
thumbs up

Re: River tank lighting suggestions

you can always grow algae on rocks etc... in a plastic bucket or whatever in your yard and then add it to your tank. That way you'd have a steady supply and not adding so much heat to the tank. I have also heard that leaving the light on for long periods of time will promote algae growth. I don't kn...

KILLER LOACHES!

I recently bought a house and had to move about 10 min away with my 4 tanks. I only really enjoy loaches (dario, yoyo, histies, kubs, rostrata, striata, clown, modesta, skunk, eos, sid, rubusta and helodes) and keep few other fish. I have a RTS, a couple of SAE, young Red-Lined Torpedo Barbs (Puntiu...
