Although he doesnt have a large selection of loaches RIGHT now, I highly recommend Frank at www.franksaquarium.com,

Phylogenetic classification of loaches
I stumbled across a study recently demonstrating relationships between different Botiidae species and genera based on mtDNA and ribosomal rNA sequencing. The authors found that dwarf loaches sidthimunki and nigrolineata are more closely related to Sinibotia than Yasuhikotakia or Botia...goes to show...

That sounds intriguing. It could be a morphological variant of Y. morleti, or it could be something completely different...photographs would help immensely. I have never heard of a Botiid species that looks like a Y. morleti with a dark mask on its face...perhaps either a geographical variant of Y. ...

Actually, I am quite confident that the fish pictured in the original post is of a B. almorhae aka Yo-Yo loach. The Yo-Yo pattern can be observed on its flanksDainBramage1991 wrote:That is almost certainly a golden zebra loach, Botia histrionica.
