I'm looking for a loach recommendation. I have a 36g bowfront planted tank with lots of driftwood and rocks and hiding spots and small gravel (almost sand-like). I'd like to put in a fun loach with character.
I've had Yoyo and Zebra loaches recommended (min. of 3). I like the size of the Zebra ...

Can a Dojo loach be kept by itself in a community tank? Or should it be kept in pairs?

considering algae eaters - pleco, snails, Hillstream loach
Just working on the stock for my planted 36g tank and was thinking about what sort of algae eater to add.
So far i've been considering:
* Apple snails
* Nerite snails
* Bristlenose pleco
* Tiger/candystriped pleco (Peckoltia vittata)
* Hillstream loach
I hear that the BN is a great eater, but ...

Looking for a Loach recommendation
Wondering if anyone can suggest a loach that would do fine in small numbers - as a single, in 2s or in 3s in a tank.
Thanks.
Thanks.

looking for a fun bottom feeder
Can anyone recommend a bottom feeder that is:
- is not too small (smaller than 3"). Can live with larger fish without getting eaten
- doesn't get too large (over 5-6")
- fun, likes to get around nice gravel, rocks, plants and driftwood with lots of nooks and places to explore
- works singly or ...

loach suggestion?
I'm setting up a new 30g tank and was thinking about what fish to populate it with.
I had bengal loaches in the past and remember them to be great characters... so I figure i'd throw it out there. Any recommendations for a loach that is full of character?

Loach needs new home
I'm moving accross the continent and need to find a new home for my Bengal Loach. He's a great hardy fella, that is trained to come when the glass is tapped.

Thanks.
I've tried to soften the water with little success and stability. I'd prefer to try and work with my harder water. I have only one Queen loach left and want him to be comfortable, but i don't to keep getting and killing more them if they won't do well in the water. Would getting Zebras or ...
