Re: I don't know what to do!?
Oh thanks! I didn't know that happened :) She is good! We have started referring to her as "her majesty" as a nickname. She is tucked away most of the day, but man does she assert her presence in the mornings! Gave her frozen daphnia for the first time this week, she (and the denisons) went absolute...

Re: I don't know what to do!?
There are many good threads on the health forum on Ich/White spot. Have a read through those, and it should give you good information. I know for sure if you buy ich treatment it needs to be for scaleless fish (like your loach) so that the treatment doesn't harm them too much. I have also read that ...

Re: Lonely Loach
Thank you dojosmama! She is doing well, eating everything I offer. Can't really tell what her favorite food is, she attacks everything with similar gusto :) Seems she is a morning loach. She is most active in the morning hours (~5-9am, moon lights come on 7-9am), but is slow to emerge even after the...

Re: New clowns
Yeah, I can see that misunderstanding. Ok, I will have to think about this.

Re: Lonely Loach
Oh btw if you are not firmly decided on Zebras, this may be a good deal on Kubs. IMHO, Kubs are nicer.... Thanks for the info mikev :) Any additional loach species will be down the line once I get clowns settled in and I assess my wall space availability for additional tanks :? Still have that 20g ...

Re: New clowns
Yes, a name is certainly needed here. maybe I'll steal your fish name, it kinda fits. You are welcome to it! :D Your fish is much bigger then mine is, so I could always start calling mine "Princess Bee"/"Dutchess" or something not Queeny...although that might require a new forum name for me...come t...

Re: New clowns
Oh man, you have an uprising on your hands :D Just look away! Ok, that settles it then. 5 clowns for now, more in a couple years when I go to the larger tank. But this is it for me... unless I see something huge or extra attractive again You do have some really nice looking clowns there. Loved seein...

Re: Lonely Loach
I literally saw them from across the shop and made a bee line to their tank! I had to have them the minute I laid eyes on them. Really nice looking fish, and peaceful.

Re: Lonely Loach
I have denisons that are in the 3-4" range now, raised them up from small little ones, probably in the 1.5-2" range when I first got them. I like small fish in my planted tanks because I like how they look swimming through the foliage together :D I went with rummy nose because I think they will look...

Re: Lonely Loach
Personally, I'd pass on zebras for this tank... the combination of different loach species does not always work well and Queen Bee wants more Clown companions and not Zebras. You are right, why get a set of zebras when I can add in a 1-2 more clowns to the tank instead. Queen Bee thanks you!! Inste...

Re: New clowns
Great video Mike, thanks for sharing! I am glad to see the new clown family blending well. I guess what they say is true: the more the merrier. Makes me think I won't be able to stop at 5 clowns or better yet, shouldn't...for the sake of the fish of course :) The new clowns may figure out the snail ...

Re: Lonely Loach
Thanks! I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into but it has worked out. Queen Bee is doing well, and forages mostly in the early morning and late at night. I have ordered moon lights so I can see her better and I am sure that when more clowns get added she will be more comfortable and come out m...
