Re: Happiness is: Now Video too

I feed cooked shrimp a lot, a few times a week. It comes frozen and I mince it up to to best of my ability with a serrated steak knife. Above all foods, this is this fav!

Re: Doing what I can for my fish—Video

I got the 1950, adds a little current but frankly it's not that impressive. Added another Aquaclear 110 (for a total of 3) to my 125. Everything showed up while I'm on vacation, so I didn't get to check the DO. But from an observational standpoint I really doubt it made any difference. I'll check my...

Re: Doing what I can for my fish—Video

I really doubt the higher water temps will effect aerobic or anaerobic bacteria negatively, if anything it'll likely make them more active, depending on species. I would wage most of the bacteria that live in our tanks love warmer water. The more active the bacteria the higher their consumption of d...

Re: Doing what I can for my fish—Video

FranM, a perfectly timed post by you. Ironically I logged on tonight to ask the very similar question to the one you're posing - at least regarding the addition of a circulator. Since your topic is similar, I'll pass on posting a new topic and just be active in this one. I simply was going to post w...

Re: question about zebra loaches

I own about 6 or 7 zebras. They're defintally the more active of my loaches. Not as active as Sid's I've watched in other tanks though. They don't use the upper water column unless there is chow up there, with one caveat... Someone grave me some great advice when I was setting up my tank to add more...

Re: Video—please comment

Cool video! The two yoyo's I have in my 125 are pretty docile compared to the dojos in the tank. Not sure what's going.... really just wanted to reply that your tank is beautiful :)

Re: My loach has stopped eating and has become emaciated and near death.. help ?!

As much as I use to love feeding my loaches snails I've stopped due them being a major vector of disease.

Sorry I'm not much help, just wanted to add my 2 cents.

Re: Black Algae

Your tank temp is fine for them. I have 2 in my 125 gallon only because that's all they had for sale at a LFS. I think I paid around 10 bucks USD for fish around 2-3" long, which is lower than the going rate. I really wish I had 3 so they had a little more of a group, although they rarely pal around...
