Loach size
I bought two yoyo loaches at the same time. They were the same size but one has gotten much larger while the other is so tiny. Why aren't they growing at the same rate? The small one doesn't look like he grows much at all.

Re: Kuhli Loaches hiding
I've read all these responses but I have only seen my Khuli loach a couple of times when I was cleaning the tank. He's quite young.

Re: Loaches rubbing on wood
My two Yoyos have it too. I looked online. It's probably gill flukes. I used it yesterday but they're not looking good. They go crazy rubbing against everything. They're just not acting right. This morning they were hiding which they've never done. My other fish are fine. I think loaches are prone t...

Gill flukes
I put the medicine for gill flukes in the tank but my two yoyo loaches look worse. They're shimmying up the side of the tank and 5rubbing themselves on everything. How do I know if they're dying? They had the flukes a few days before I could get the PraziPro which I put in yesterday. I hate to watch...

Re: Loaches rubbing on wood
I have 2 Yoyo loaches and one Clown loach and they've been doing this since I transferred them to a new larger aquarium. They're all active and eating fine and I see no spots of ich. Only my loaches are doing this and other fish are fine. Could it be the change from gravel to the sand substrate?

Re: Fine Food Recipes!
I don't understand why all these non-related topics like recipes are being posted on a website about loaches. Do you have any loaches or maybe you need a cooking website to comment on? I don't get it.Mark in Vancouver wrote: ↑Sun Mar 16, 2008 12:40 pmThis seems necessary.
By all means, add to this sticky.

Clown loach not growing as large as I've read
I've had a clown loach for about 10 months and he's not getting larger. I've always read they grow to about 8-10 inches long but he's staying at about 4 inches long. I have him in a 36-gallon tank and am in the process of moving my fish to a 75 gallon. Maybe they don't all get as large as what the ...

Re: Growth rate of Yoyo loaches
I have three yoyo loaches that I purchased at the same time. One is about 4 or more inches, one is about three, and the other is tiny and only about one and a half inches. Why are they all such different sizes? The tiny one is very active but so small. He still has the dark black markings.

My yoyos are dying
I bought 2 yoyos and had them for a few weeks. One began to go toward the filter for air and then would fall slowly. Finally, he died. The 2nd one seemed fine then started slowing down and I didn't see him eat. He's still alive but very subdued. My tank: 36 deep 2 dwarf plecostomus: 1 Angelfish, 5 C...
