darn if only you were closer, I would add them to my gang of 35 going into a new 400 gallon tank.

Thats like 5"x10" for each fish on the footprint, pretty small for mature fish.......Large for young fish, Thats about 2 tons of weight also.

Sorry to mislead you, I mentioned to watch the ph to avoid a crash because of the change in substrate,I meant for changes, if it drops it can be a simple indicator of a crash that can be offset by small water changes as your tank re cycles. Patience, let your tank work.....

I don't have a chart but thats very low, We are about 500-600 ppm here tap ,my fish are in about 400 through peat softening. ....The trick is to figure what the ppm are ,we can look at our water company here online and they can account for most on their website. You are lucky to have those numbers.

Hey CK, What about using a sheet of lexan for the wall and screwing the pipe to it , less volume used in your tank for not water stuff... The paint is only for you so imo an unneccesary part of the tank, no chem's man...... How long a piece of big PVC do you need ? I may have some 10 "or 12" availab...

You may truly visulize your current by crushing flake food and adding it to your tank. You do not want separate areas of flow .The tank should mix nicely in it's entirety.
