what is your water quality like etc...
putting any new fish in a tank with out doing the Qthing for at least 3 weeks is just asking 4 trouble.

I have had tanks without snails set up for years without this happening. The sand is deep (+2") but with a good cross flow all the crap goes into the intake.
I also do a weekly %50 W.C.

the little loaches probably have an easier time swimming after the larger loach breaks the flow of water with it's larger body.

dario can be really nippy.
I don't have a pack like emma did but my mature dario was king/mean dude of the tank until I put larger clowns in.
the rest of the dario are too small.

at one point I had a lone 4" TL dario and he was the king of the tank until I put large clowns in. He just can't push other fellers around :wink:
