Suspected OTS - Dead fish

I had a BN pleco, 5 sids, and 2 rosey danios in a 10 gallon which is a river set up. My BN and one of the sids died (that is to say I went away for a few days and I returned to find no trace of the BN and only 1/3rd of the sid's body. The odd thing was, when I checked my levels. I got, Nitrates - 80...

Skinny Kubotai everywhere

Every LFS I have been into recently have only had skinny Kubs. Are Kubs more susceptible to skinny disease than other loaches? I've never seen yoyos like that.

Measure the tank. L x W x H (all measured in feet) x 7.5 = American Gallons. L x W x H (all measured in inches) x 231 = American Gallons. L x W x H (all measured in centimeters) / 1000 = liters. Diana, I think you mean L x W x H (all measured in feet) / 7.5 = American Gallons. L x W x H (all measur...

I don't know if it may work for you. My fish room is next to a bathroom. I fill the bath adjusting the temperature and mix the water conditioner..... Don't you worry about soap residue that is in your tub? In this specific case the bathroom is only used if we have guests. In any case I wouldn't thi...

I don't have Dojos, but I believe that they are cold water fish, while the others you mention are tropical.

... Oh my God, I just proved myself wrong. They're breeding again... Same male, different female.... Wow, it looks like you have a veritable "perfect storm" for dojo breeding. You probably want to line up some people to take some of your babies once they get a bit bigger, or you might be ab...

Re: Help!

... Crap! I guess what's known about dojo loach hatching is wrong. Just checked, and they're already hatching. Looks like precisely 36 hours from when we saw the parents spawning. We're not really prepared to feed them yet--stuff still in the mail. Gonna try to put some dissolved egg yolk in there ...

I have a python but it won't reach from the bathroom facet to every part of my room. I think it reaches almost every corner of my room except one spot where I plan to put a 100g. That's right next to the window, so I was thinking I could use my python to siphon water out into the yard and then atta...

So buckets it is for me. :(

You can get a longer hose and put the garbage can anywhere.

I know I would worry about soap and similar residues in my bathtub! Seems no matter what shampoo or conditioner we get, the bottle leaks! I use garbage cans that are never used for anything else. Aquarium use only. I have a 5 gallon cooler (with a lid to prevent spills) that I used to lug water aro...
