hi you all, The tank has some calm water places for the Algelfish. He is kind of agressive when the loaches try to swim near him, but its ok. The Sids love to swim in front of the tank because of the Korallia pump. I'll add more plants, and i'm looking for Higrophila Corymbosa. A friend told me that...

PH spikes from 6 to 6.5 will stress your fishes a lot.
How many fishes you have on this tank?

Whats your tap PH?
Tap ammonia concentration?
Tank ammonia concentration?
Tank temperature?
Tank PH?
What type of substrate?
Any fertilization?
CO2?
Carbon on filter?

hi,

I think good water condition is the most important thing for your fishes now. Stop adding all those chemicals ( a lot you're saying) on the water and make just 20% water changes everyday.

Very low water hardness ( dKH = 1)

Hi, this is my first experience with loaches. I have 5 infant clown loaches in my 3 years tank. It's a 100 liters ( 26 gallons ) . This tank has a soft water (1 dKH or less). PH = 6,9 . No CO2 injection. Is this a problem for my loaches? If the answer is "YES", what should I do to raise hardness in ...

Ok , thank you Toothpik,

the first picture loach , with two small spots side by side, was the bigger one, and now it's the smallest. All of then are eating very well and have normal behavior. This change in size wouldnt be a disease?

Brown spot on Clown Loach's belly

I have recently noticed a brown spot on the belly of one of my Clowns. It's situated just behind one of the pectoral fins. It looks only skin-deep and it's rather small (a couple of square mm). The Clown in question is behaving normally.

Could this be some parasites?
