I think your fish will be fine.
My 11.5" Clown Loach will eat Ancistrus fry when they appear in the tank.
If it fits in its mouth, that's where it will end up.

I can't add any info about the Rosy Loach but just had to say the first video is a wonderful piece of art and it gave me great pleasure to watch it.

Re: New tank advice
I would move the substrate and filter over to the new tank to keep the cycle. Clown Loaches would need a tank to themselves in my opinion, perhaps with a few dither fish (I use Congo Tetras). Minimum recommended shoal size for Clown Loaches is six (preferably more). Minimum recommended tank size for...

Re: Bloated loach
Hi I don't personally know what the problem is with your loach but I am sorry to hear of it. I have had the same water parameters as you have recorded for the last 25 years so I don't think this is your issue. To show us a picture you must host your photo elsewhere and provide us with a link to it. ...

Re: The most awesome clown loach I have ever seen
I don't happen to share your opinion, but it is interesting so thanks for posting. Have you any more information you could add about the fish? Perhaps I am reminded of a time when I visited my LFS and they had in stock artificially bred Clown Loaches (that were injected with hormones and hand stripp...

Re: River manifold problem
Yes, I just watched the flow in a river at the weekend. I actually saw that the flow moved upstream in part of the river! There were also low flow areas where the fish could congregate.

Re: Clown loach behaviour
Mmm...a young fish with lots of energy. Often the whole group do it. I think its normal and will not happen forever. Their behaviour is constantly surprising me even after 25 years.

Unremarkable.
Cruel hand stripping. I wouldn't do that to my fish.

Re: have i made a mistake?
I don't have Yoyos I have Clown Loaches and I feed mine Bloodworm and Krill every morning along with Discus Granules in the evening. I am able to get frozen bloodworm economically in a large sheet the size of an A4 sheet of paper. I break a piece off with pliers, thaw it in a glass of water then sie...

Re: have i made a mistake?
Basically yes. https://www.seriouslyfish.com/species/gyrinocheilus-aymonieri/ Your tank is too small, they don't like their own kind, they tend to be aggressive to other fish too (more so as they grow), they get large then they hide most of the time. They often don't get enough food and then will at...
