Hi Val, Sorry to hear about your Clown. They like tight crevices, and usually if they can get in somewhere, they can get out. Yours doesn't seem to have been very lucky though. There was an interesting thread regarding toxicity in Clown Loach slime on here quite recently, which can be viewed h...

Hi Fat Albert, and welcome to Loaches Online! :D I'm sorry to hear of the problem with your Botia kubotai . Glad to hear that your water tests are ok, do you have the exact levels to hand? I am wondering whether you might have an elevated nitrate reading if you are only carrying out 15% water change...

And they were in tanks with big fish that can usually look after themselves too! You might be lucky and get away with it, only time will tell....

We have several Clowns that have light bands within the black bands, and this is most predominant on our larger specimens. Many medium sized ones have the light area within the black bands along the dorsal surface, which Martin has already mentioned. If Coppermine was working I would include some ph...

Hi Stephen, Yo-yo's can be a little more aggressive than some other loaches, such as Clowns. Whilst your Yo-yo's are small they will probably chase your Neons out of curiosity. But when the Yo-yo's get bigger, and with the Neons being such small peaceful fish, the loaches could become a real threat ...

Hi mousey, Although I do not keep N. corica at home, we have imported them to our shop on a few occassions. From what I have seen, when kept in large numbers in a stock tank they seem to get on fine together - but I suspect that like other similar species they would be fairly territorial in the home...
