Jeez Momfish.. My fish are not sick except for one histy that is skinny. Everytime I have used levamisole all my fish hide from the light. As soon as I do a water change after dosing they are back to normal. I was under the impression from Shari that levamisole could cause a light sensitivity issue ...

3 Inches huh. They must be very beautiful at that size. The cabomba furcata was 6.99 on sale so a good price for a big bundle. It has already started to pearl. PB in northvan still sells bloodworms 3 for 10.oo that's about all the supplies I need these days. I sometimes sell plantts to the for store...

Momfish! need some input.

Hiya Momfish
Shari mentioned you knew about some light issues with levamisole. I'm wondering if you had any details of this.
Here is the post with my experiences.

Thanks shari It feels good to have my observations confirmed. Unfortunately turning out my lights is not an option as it is a heavily planted tank with the plants being my main bio filter and a heavy fish load. Hopefully momfish will pipe in. Cheers Erik Momfish would know more about the light issue...

Personally I do not recomend the tahitian black moon sand. I have had nothing but problems with it. It is so light it easily gets into the water column and sucked into filters. 3 Ruined impellors with the intake 8 inches from the tank bottom. Be very carefull with your intakes. I now keep filter flo...

skinny loach update

Hi Guys it seems my SD treatment has worked. I had 2 clowns and 1 Histy/kubotai that were skinny. I dosed prazi pro (2x) with biaxin and amoxicillan for two weeks. I could see no stressed fish from the prazi dosing unlike levamisole which made them hide all day in the dark under plants. My tanks are...

Hi Martin Zebras have a striped pattern so that is diffcult for predators (lions) to attack. Maybe clowns are coloured that way for the same reasons? Erik:) Hi andyroo, and a big welcome to Loaches Online :) In all the time I've spent on LOL, I don't think we've had anyone post from your part of the...

Mark I have no idea if they were parasites. I'm guessing planeria. All I know is they were coming out of my filters spray bar. If it's planeria then the fish are just getting a free lunch. I have seen them get eaten in my river tank by shistura mynerti's. Cheers Erik Sorry - I don't get this... The ...

prazi observations

After having tried levamisole with no observable results I got some prazi today. The loaches that have skinnny had been through a vigorous qt 2yrs ago when I got them but I think some cross contamination happened. So with two skinny clowns and "mystery" loach looks half histy and half Kubotai I gave...
