Dang, maybe I should have made some really spooky claims about Graeme's clairvoyance.

Thanks everyone!

Sea Sprite, I've received a lot of advice on which camera to buy in the off-topic part of the forums. I started a thread there a few months ago since there are some very talented and enthusiastic photographers out here. I'm sure Graeme must have seen it.

Hi Erik, Nice camera the D80. I've had one for about a year now and just love it. I have the 18-135 and 70-300 lenses and my next one will be the 60mm Micro. I love the rich colours the Nikon gives. Cheers Graeme. PS. Manual focus is really hard to master so stick to "spot focus" and use focus-lock...

Small correction... I have 8 females. I know I should be hard at work right now, but I've been having too much fun. Meet the gang! This is their normal home. http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn167/Dutch_lol/kubotaiaangepast.jpg Just to the right side of the last picture. http://i304.photobucket.co...

Funny enough there was a female sitting quite close by today, but she was chased away all the same. Got another nice picture just now from the same kub. I kept the two Danios on the right in the picture as they look really nice in this one. http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn167/Dutch_lol/kub.jpg

It seems to be a very normal response for almost all fish when they're transferred to a new tank, they try to jump out. When I got my loaches ( B. kubotai ) a few months ago, they tried to escape through my filter outlet and I had to put something in front of it to prevent them from getting stuck. M...

Nice Kub there Dutch! Looks a lot like mine! Is it a juvenile? Thanks, I think he is. He's much bolder than the other ones even though he's also much smaller. Sometimes he seems to play 'tag' with the other ones. He'll tag a bigger one and swim away as fast as he can while seeing if the big o...

Thanks all! The kubs are great. I have seven and this seems to be the youngest one, it's the smallest anyway (and most adventurous). I tried to capture the biggest one I have as well, but he wasn't having any of it. That was a shame as I think it's the most beautiful one. He's usually very shy, but ...

Nice picture I made today (B. kubotai)... and a lot more now

Just got a new camera and thought I'd share a nice picture I made today.
I still have some stress in the tank, but this kub seems to like lying around on the rock just outside their main hiding place.

Interesting, Mike. I only made that comment because we have discussed the B. dario aggression here many times over the last couple of years, and until Mick said he'd witnessed aggression in his, I was the only one who reported this behaviour. Pretty much everyone else said theirs had been model cit...

Thanks! I'm really happy with the Danios. In real life their colors are very nice and they seem to change depending on where they are in the tank. They get lighter above the sand, but very dark if they spend some time near the wood. Sometimes the blue and orange gets really intense. Very interesting...

Thanks! As usual I had to bribe te kubs to get them to show themselves. Again not the best quality, but at least it shows the most important aspect of the tank... Loaches! 25 sec. http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn167/Dutch_lol/th_MVI_0739.jpg 1 min. http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/n...
